The Falke TK1 is a thick trekking sock with a terry bed foot and padding (sock thickness 4). Padding is the name for the thickening at places where needed such as toes, heel and ankle. The TK1 is intended for medium-heavy hiking boots (type C-D), so with a limited flexible sole. The harder the sole, the more shock absorption must be provided by the sock. The thick socks fill the space between the foot and shoe. The terry bed foot and padding provide shock absorption. Of course, it's also suitable for clogs and boots, or for indoor use. The cooling Falke TK1 COOLMAX fiber dries quickly.
The thickly padded trekking sock TK1 is highly suitable for wearing in sturdy trekking shoes during longer lasting foot and trekking tours through the middle and high mountains. The TK1 socks are thicker than the Tk2 socks and are therefore warmer.
